Back To Baselworld

As Christmas becomes a distant memory and Fashion Weeks fade (for another 6months at least), here at TASK we gear up to take on the awesome extravagance of Baselworld. For those not familiar with this extraordinary experience, the small town of Basel in Switzerland plays host to a trade event like no other. Experts in the field of watches converge as luxury brands prepare to showcase their latest novelties.

We enjoyed three days of appointments with Maurice Lacroix and STORM watches, meeting the UK press contingent stoically traversing the giant halls, maps in hand, to make the 30minute time slots in which they are presented with the most extraordinary designs, technical details and design inspirations. Classic sailing watches, with lightweight specially developed casing, to patented movements and limited editions, diamond encased show stoppers and blasts from the past in retro 70’s styles, statement showstoppers are available at every turn.  We arrived back at the office with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the new collections and a wish list that will take until next year to read through!
