Last week TASK PR celebrated the new season with a bang by jetting-off to Germany to visit the Marc Cain headquarters and sample alcoholic and culinary delights at the Spring Beer Festival in Stuttgart.
The trip started off with a 7am rendez vue at Heathrow Terminal 1 where TASK met up with Robyn Kotze from InStyle, Josh Newis Smith from Grazia, Linh Ly from Harper’s Bazaar, Camilla Holmes and Natasha Heasman from Stylist, Fiona Downie from Company, Julia Brenard from Vogue Russisa, Koulla Sergi from Marie Claire and bloggers Kylie Martin of Memoir Mode and Julia Rebaudo of Stylonylon. Once safely on German soil the ensemble was whisked off to the Marc Cain headquarters were they were treated to a lunch of one of Germany’s traditional dishes (curry wurst and fries) followed by a tour of the factory where as they say ‘all the magic happens’. A sneak peek of the new SS15 designs and a presentation of the Made in Germany range was one of the main highlights of the tour closely followed by Marc Cain branded fire extinguishers, bicycles and lawnmowers which had the group erupt into an Instagram frenzy.
Once the tour was over the group was in for a surprise…they were asked to ditch their usual designer gear and season must-haves for traditional german dress; sexy dirndls for the girls and knee-exposing lederhosen for the boys, a trend that is sure to catch-on fast! Looking the part in their new outfits, the group headed to Stuttgart for one of the world’s biggest beer festivals. Everyone was served large mugs of beer which was shortly followed by singing and dancing to German chart topping hits and fairground rides.
It was an experience that was chatted about all the way back home to London with a promise of returning next year, until then auf Wiedersehen!
Love,
Team Task
