Four Creative Gifts For Mother's Day

LOOKING TO TREAT THE SPECIAL LADY IN YOUR LIFE? WE’VE GOT THE MOTHER’S DAY PRESENTS SOLVED!

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we’ve put together four great presents to make the influential woman in your life, smile.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

Sometimes, you’d rather give an experience than a present, especially on Mother’s Day. But carving out time and finding the perfect activity is time consuming! So eventually you fall back on flowers and wine (no shade to those, both classic gifts but they don’t exactly scream, ‘I really thought about this present’).
However if you’re invested in giving your mother something that will outlast the 11th March, a magazine subscription is the perfect way for a parcel to remind her each month, that you’re thinking about her.

With most magazines now offering digital subscriptions as well as print copies, you can download her favourite reads onto her kindle or iPad, as well as give her something to add to the bookshelf. Subscriptions are available for a wide variety of titles including The New York Times, Vogue, Harpers’ Bazaar, Women’s Health and Traveller. So whatever your taste, there’s a magazine to keep your mother informed and interested for months to come. Mother’s Day sorted!

The Homemade Present

What is it about homemade gifts that are so adorable? Whether it’s the extra effort, the originality or the love of glitter, we’re on board with creating something this Mother’s Day.
Candles are a relatively easy and high reward homemade gift! All you need to get started, are soy wax flakes, essential oils and a container. Head to pinterest for inspiration.
Sometimes even the best intentions can fail, so if this doesn’t go entirely to plan we highly recommend the candles from Lavender & Lille as an alternative, available here.

The Evening In

Is there a better gift, than enabling someone to relax? We all know that our mothers deserve the best, so give her a moment away from being a mum, and give her everything she needs to create the perfect hygge evening. From Pukka chamomile tea and a warm blanket from Anthropologie, to a new film subscription the MUBI and a Lush facemask, alter the ‘hygge box’ to match your mum’s favourite things. Add in a new but trusted recipe book, with all of the ingredients to create said recipe, right down to the chilli flakes. This will make sure that your mum doesn’t have to think about a thing- just don’t forget to include a bottle of Malbec!

The Dinner Reservation

A dinner date is always a reliable present, meaning you can enjoy one another’s company over elegant food and avoid washing up afterward.
We recommend making a tea reservation at Sketch in Mayfair, an 18th century townhouse tea room, with cocktails to lust over. Sketch is home to the pink hued instagram posts that have been filling your feed, and yourselves with envy! Why not treat your mum to the ‘Afternoon Tea’ complete with champagne and delicate pastel macaroons, and capture that ‘cheers’ shot surrounded by rose velvet.
