TASK travel 8: Copenhagen

FOR THE NEXT INSTALMENT IN TASK TRAVELS, WE’RE HEADING TO COPENHAGEN!

COPENHAGEN, THE CAPITAL OF DENMARK, THE HAPPIEST COUNTRY ON EARTH. SIGHTSEEING, SHOPPING AND SCANDI-COOL.

Copenhagen is not only the capital of the happiest country on Earth, Denmark, but is also the epi-center of chic designer goods. It is rich with design-led stores selling trendy lights, ingenious kitchenware, cheerful home furnishings and exquisite glass and ceramics. Junior Account Executive Emma Denmead travelled and stayed in Norrebro, the up and coming district which is branded as the new ‘trendy area.’

Emma visited a range of tourist attractions and also some less well-known areas. The Tivoli gardens are a must-go, with a permanent theme park and magical gardens.

Not only are Copenhagen also popular for their food and drink, priding themselves on many Michelin star restaurants, there were also many eye-catching opportunities for sightseeing. Beginning with visiting Nyhavn, a beautiful area on the canal with the iconic multi-coloured houses. You can take a boat trip to capture the sights around Copenhagen including the Royal Palace, The Black Diamond Library, and The Little Mermaid Statue.

Of course, you can’t go anywhere without exploring the fashion lifestyle and stores. The Danish department stores Illum being Copenhagen’s premium store, and Magasin Du Nord, the country’s leading chain of department stores are particularly great to visit and purchase some Danish souvenirs.

We highly recommend Copenhagen for fun festivities, their beautiful scenery, and discovering the fashion world through shopping. Grab your passport and take the trip.
