Now here’s a bargain every fashionista dreams about: 10 favourite British designer pieces for £6 – shame they are only in miniature prints. We are still thrilled about The Royal Mail launching a limited edition of stamps today featuring 10 designs of iconic British designers including Vivienne Westwood’s trademark tartan, the extravagant work of the late Alexander McQueen (his black feather number printed in the miniature format was also showcased in the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition shown in New York’s Met Museum) and the Queen’s favourite Hardy Amies’ classic chic design. This one especially caught our attention as at TASK PR we will be launching the Hardy Amies debut eyewear collection this September so stay tuned for more information on that!
Showing dedication to the fashion credibility, Royal Mail got fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø on board who is a regular on cover shoots for Vogue, i-D and several luxury designer advertising campaigns and gave his input on the project by shooting all 10 of the designers’ works for the 35mm x 37mm prints.
All of the 1st class designs on 1st class stamps are available on the Royal Mail website; for hardcore collectors even framed.
