Behind The Tasks: Restaurant Review

…The Sir Charles Napier

Hidden away on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border is a gem called The Sir Charles Napier. You walk through the door, which is weighted with a huge saucepan, into a wonky, old bar with two log fires, some extra comfy sofas and if you are lucky a couple of dogs curled up.

Lunch is served in one of the two dining rooms, each table has a marble sculpture, designed by a local artist and husband of the landlady…meaning we had a drink at the bar with an otter and lunch at the table with a lima.

Highlight of the day had to be the apple and blackberry crumble soufflé, the 20 minute wait was 100% worth it!
